Kahve Atölyesi
A coffee brand's site, built by someone who works the bar.
Coffee is my other trade. This is the project where both jobs land on the same table — a coffee workshop whose site is written by the person who also stands behind the bar.
The brief
Cafés get sold beautiful template sites by people who have never taken an order during a Saturday rush. The result always shows: a menu that takes a developer to change, opening hours that are wrong for half the year, and a photo grid nobody updates. The person who knows what a customer actually asks at the counter is never the one building the page.
The build
Next.js on the front, Firebase behind it, and one rule: everything that changes weekly must be editable without a deploy. Menu, prices, hours, seasonal items — all content, not code. The editing surface is designed for a phone held in one hand, because that is the only device available between two orders.
The status
In development. It is also the most honest thing in this portfolio: a brand where I am simultaneously the operator and the engineer, which means there is nobody to blame when the menu is out of date.
The scoreboard
- Menu and hours editable from a phone, between shifts
- Firebase backend: no server to babysit for a café
- Built by the operator, not translated through a brief
